Frank Secrist won the 1953 - 1954 jalopy championship at Bakersfield Speedway and the 1953 - 1955 titles at Hanford. He won the 1960 NASCAR late model sportsman championship and set records at Daytona in the modified division, qualifying on the pole in 1962. He won nine out of eleven supermodified races in 1963 and the USAC national midget race at Bakersfield in 1966. He is in the West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame.
